Estiba Reservada

Catena Zapata has identified the best quality lots within the family's vineyards. The cultivation and manual care of these lots has allowed the identification of those plants that consistently produce the best fruit. These plants are marked in the vineyard with a red ribbon, which indicates the special care that must be paid to them.

Harvested separately, at different times, the “Zapata” plants make up the origin of the Catena Zapata Estiba Reservada wine.

Malbec Argentino

No matter what the harvest is, this wine is actually more than 100 years old. It represents the journey taken by a family to produce an Argentine Malbec that could compete with the best wines in the world. Argentine Malbec is a cut of grapes from two historical Malbec vineyards of the Catena family: the "Adrianna" Vineyard and the "Nicasia" Vineyard.

Nicola Catena

A tribute to the founder of Bodega Catena Zapata. "They say that my great-grandfather Nicola preferred Bonarda while his eldest son, my grandfather Domingo Vicente, leaned towards Malbec. Today his great-grandchildren have discovered an exceptional plot of Bonarda in the old La Vendimia vineyard that makes it very difficult to settle that controversy." Dr. Nicolás Catena Zapata.
